Commerce Cup

The team of Dave Barr, Steve Brigido, Mike Flicek and Dan Precott carded a 1-ball gross, 1-ball net total of 136 for Flight 1 honors Tuesday in the 15th Commerce Cup outing at Beaver Creek Country Club.

Dave Abeles, Bill Abeles Jr., Mike Day and James Sellgren won Flight 2 with a 139 and Bob Baker, Mark Harrell, Tim Troxell and Tim Henry were first in Flight 3 with a 154.

Closest to the pin winners were Don Harsh, Bert Iseminger and Brian Crabtree, and Chad Brashears had the longest drive.

Member winners at BCCC

First-place winners in the annual Member-Member-Member event at Beaver Creek Country Club were Tim Steiner, Marty Miller and Bill Kushay with a 113 gross total, one stroke better than Ken Kasai, Steve Ligi and Mike Printz. In the Net division, the winners were Mike Butts, Ronnie Butts and Leroy Sensenbaugh with a 100, one shot ahead of Don Gables, Ralph Martin and Bill Foreman.


Bill Ricketts, of Hagerstown, nailed his first hole-in-one in 50 years when he aced the 129-yard No. 3 in a threesome with Ray Larson and Bill Swartz.
