On Friday, May 13, the MSO Symphony Ball and Auction item - "A Literary Dinner with Susan Donovan" - was held at the home of Maryland Symphony Orchestra Guild board member Maureen Sasse.

Donovan, of Hagerstown, is the author of several romance novels, including "He Loves Lucy,"

Attending were Guild members Dana Wollaston, Yvonne Thomson, Maureen Ferguson, Maria Dahbura, Doris Lehman, Dee Barnhart, Jackie Harrell and friends Lana Fawaz, Dixie Myers, Sharon Palank and Joyce Smythe.

Dinner was catered by Al Pomodoro Restaurant and guests enjoyed the cuisine while being regaled by Donovan's interesting background to the development of her plots and narrative twists. The group was treated to many anecdotes as well as a first draft reading of her work in progress. She also shared with the group how she chose her pen name.

You can view Donovan's other books and read about her life as a writer on her Web site: www.susandonovan.com.
