Bishop to visit Hagerstown

June 04, 2005

The Rev. W. Francis Malooly, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, will visit Hagerstown Sunday to participate in a groundbreaking and blessing ceremony celebrating the commencement of an addition to the Parish Center at St. Ann Catholic Church.

He will lead the pastor, Rev. Richard J. Murphy, and the congregation of St. Ann in celebrating a Mass at 9:15 a.m., followed by the outdoor ceremony at 10:30 a.m.

The new addition will double the size of the existing Parish Center and is expected to house the church offices and multipurpose rooms, as well as support all existing activities and ministries.

Construction is expected to be completed by January 2006.

A capital campaign is being launched at this time to support the effort.
