Mail Call

"I saw a fairly nasty reply to the person who had called in about the inmates not being allowed to have the little pocket nail clippers for their personal hygiene. I think this man replied with the first caller's point. I agree with the first caller that I don't understand why the inmates wouldn't be allowed to have them. I still work in a correctional facility and with the diseases going around in our prisons, anything to help with hygiene would be welcomed. I would rather see an inmate have something for his personal hygiene that is not a threat to staff or the other inmates then some of the other things they are giving him. I think the man that replied was way off base."

"So now I have to watch the news and see how Laura Bush is such a great standup comedian. I'm glad to see President Bush and his wife are having such a wonderful time laughing and joking it up while our men and women are overseas fighting an unfounded war. Have you seen the newest article? They still don't have armor for their vehicles and more Marines died last week due to an explosion because their vehicle was not heavily armored."

"And these people that complain about getting people out of office. not re-electing them, I hope none of them voted for that guy down there in the White House now. That Bush character has a real bad report card."

"Let's name the stadium the Mike Callas Stadium. A great guy that loved baseball and did a lot for Hagerstown. What did Willie Mays ever do for the City of Hagerstown? Nothing."

"Yes, I'm calling in to find out why did they ever take the Mini Page out of the Sunday paper and put it in Monday's paper. Sunday is the day when everybody's at home and has nothing else to do except rest and read the paper. Pass the day that we like to and everybody else that I know of works the Mini Page. So why do we put it in on a workday when everybody else can't get around to getting the puzzles on it or anything else? So why can't we change it back to the Sunday paper? Thank you."
