"I recently saw the article once again about the teacher contracts in the school and the school board negotiating. I would just like to say that there are some wonderful teachers in our schools, absolutely wonderful. Some of the men that are teaching are doing a wonderful job. The kids love them, the kids respect them, they have a great attitude, they enjoy teaching, they do a great job and they give 100 percent. When they go home, they are still great to the community and they enjoy talking to parents and they enjoy life in general. There are some teachers, a select few that have been in the system for quite some time and have a very bad attitude, very rude, degrade students, and are very disrespectful. You don't teach children to learn that way, they are the teachers that need to be eliminated through contract talks."

"This is a fair way to rename any road, stadium, etc., for those that can't leave well enough alone. Let the people in the area, not the mayor and council, suggest possible names and then let there be a community vote take place. They can do this every year and they can market the town as a place where the total citizens have a choice and not just a few. I'm sure the TV and newspapers would pick this up and every year wonder what new name the town has decided on."

No, Saddam doesn't have any WMD. He had them in 1991 and we went in and took them out. Remember that? Such stupidity may be the beginning of the end for the USA."

"I'm calling in about Willie Mays. I think it's ridiculous the way our mayor is doing this. I don't know what he is trying to prove. You sure won't get my vote this year. I thought he was going to be a decent mayor but he's not concerned about the citizens of Hagerstown, he's concerned about a name for himself and himself only. Mays did nothing. When he came to Hagerstown he didn't even want to meet the children. It's a sad, sad thing that our mayor thinks more of Willie Mays in trying to make a name than he does for the City of Hagers-town."
