WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Jesse Miller had three hits, including a home run, and three RBI as No. 8 Waynesboro rolled past Hedgesville 16-1 in four innings Thursday.

Kristy Young had three hits, while Katie Green, Amanda Butts, Erin Keller and Megan Stefanic each added two for the Maidens (10-4). Young drove in three runs, while Green and Stefanic each knocked in two. Kim Knott allowed just one hit to pick up her first varsity victory.

Jefferson 10, Goretti 4

Courtney Williams had two hits, including a two-run triple, to lead Jefferson past St. Maria Goretti.

Julie-Ann Festivo had two hits and Kate Marrama added a run-scoring triple for Goretti (3-14).

Hancock 13, Notre Dame 2

MIDDLEBURG, Va. - Adrienne Kesecker pitched a complete game, striking out ten and allowing no earned runs, to lead Hancock past Notre Dame.

Aimee Barton and Mindi Ruppenthal each had three hits for the Panthers (6-7), while Kesecker and Kayla Hill each had two hits.


On Tuesday, Hancock beat Clear Spring, 13-0.

Mercersburg 14, Foxcroft 3

MIDDLEBURG, Va. - Lauren Dobish had three hits, including a home run, to lead Mercersburg Academy past Foxcroft on Wednesday.

Cree Riley had four hits, while Jacquee Ross had three and Kathleen Staub added two for the Blue Storm (6-3).

ENOLA, Pa. - Joe Minnich pitched a two-hitter, while Zach Helman had two hits and drove in four runs for Waynesboro, which scored seven runs in the first inning and eased past East Pennsboro in the Mid-Penn Colonial.

Josh Mummert had three hits, while Scott Livengood added two for the Indians (10-5, 7-3), who have scorched opponents for 51 runs during a five-game winning streak.

Broadfording 6, Shalom 1

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Tyler Duffey scattered seven hits and struck out 16 as Broadfording Christian defeated Shalom Christian in Mason Dixon Christian Conference action.

Paul Merson had two hits and Josh Kehr added a two-run double in the seventh for the Lions (9-5, 8-0).

Brian Pensinger, Brad Hess and Derek Keener each two hits for Shalom (5-4, 5-3).


Shepherd 14-4, Bluefield State 3-5

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Collin Brown had three hits and two RBI to lead Shepherd University past Bluefield State (6-44) in the first game of their WVIAC doubleheader split.

Joe Cook, David Toth, Steve Kozak and Ryan Brady each had two hits for the Rams in the opener.

Fowler homers for The Mount

EMMITSBURG, Md. - Danny Fowler, a South Hagerstown graduate, had two hits, including a solo home run, for Mount St. Mary's in a 27-12 loss to George Mason on Wednesday.

Joe Hayes, a Thomas Johnson graduate, added two hits for The Mount, while starting pitcher Tyler Wingerd, also a TJ grad, allowed 11 hits and 11 runs (six earned) over five innings in a no-decision.
