Robbery reported at local McDonald's


An armed robbery was reported Sunday at the McDonald's restaurant on East Washington Street, according to a Hagerstown Police Department news release.

Police said three men entered the business, one showing a handgun, and demanded money. After being given the money, the men left the area on foot, police said.

The incident was reported at 6:50 p.m., according to the release.

Additional information, including a description of the men wanted in connection with the incident, was not available this morning, Sgt. Paul Kifer said.

Police ask that anyone with information on the incident call the department at 301-790-3700.

Sheriff's deputies respond to calls


The Washington County Sheriff's Department has responded to the following calls since Friday, Sgt. Mark Knight said:

Today:

· At 6 a.m., a 1988 red and silver Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 was reported stolen in the 20000 block of Leitersburg Pike. The car has Maryland tags MGB590.

On Sunday:

· At 8:30 a.m., an undetermined amount of jewelry was reported stolen during a breaking and entering at O'Connell Jewelers at Valley Mall.

· At noon, a Chevrolet Blazer was reported broken into in the 13900 block of Maple Ridge. An unknown amount of OxyContin medication was reported stolen.

· At 2 p.m., a house in the 14500 block of Bain Road was reported broken into.

· At 3 p.m., an ornamental lighthouse was reported stolen in the 12200 block of Little Antietam Road.

· At 3:30 p.m. a Chevrolet Blazer parked in the 12000 block of Ernstville Road was reported broken into. Some CDs and medication were reported stolen.

· At 9:30 p.m., alleged domestic violence was reported in the 300 block of Saint Paul Street in Boonsboro. No arrests were made.

On Saturday:

· At 11:30 a.m., alleged domestic violence was reported in the 11200 block of Youngstoun Drive. No arrests were made.

· At 1 p.m., a window to a 1995 Ford pickup truck was reported shot out with a pellet gun in the 16800 block of Pen Mar Circle.

· At 1:30 p.m., tires were reported slashed on a Chevrolet truck parked in the first block of South Artizan Street in Williamsport.

· At 4 p.m., a tire was reported slashed on a 2004 Honda Odyssey parked in the 16500 block of Tammany Lane.

· At 4:30 p.m., a wallet was reported stolen from the back office of Kay-Bee Toys, at 450 Prime Outlets Blvd.

· At 6:30 p.m., a house in the 14500 block of Bain Road was reported broken into.

· At 8 p.m., a purse was reported stolen from The Cosmetic Company, at 125 Prime Outlets Blvd.

On Friday:

· At 4 p.m., a purse was reported stolen from a Ford Explorer parked at Western Sizzlin Steakhouse, at 17567 York Road. A window to the Ford Explorer had been broken to allow the robber access to the purse.

City man faces weapons charges


A 19-year-old man was charged Sunday with weapons offenses, the Hagerstown Police Department said.

Darren E. Mundy, of no fixed address, was charged with possession of a handgun without a permit and concealing a deadly weapon, police said.

Police said that officers stopped a Honda that Mundy was driving in the 100 block of North Cannon Avenue at about 7 p.m. Police allege a handgun and a box cutter were found in his possession.

Police did not release additional information on the incident.

Man shot several times, police say


FREDERICK, Md. - A man reportedly was shot multiple times Saturday in Frederick, according to a Frederick Police Department news release.

Police said a man, whose name was not released Sunday, sustained gunshot wounds to the torso in an incident reported at about 9:30 p.m.

Police said the man was driven from a residence in the 300 block of Madison Avenue to Frederick Memorial Hospital. He later was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, according to police.

Police did not release his condition or a description of the shooter. A police spokesperson could not be reached by telephone Sunday for additional information.

Pa. woman hurt in morning crash


GREENCASTLE, Pa. - A Mont Alto, Pa., woman was injured Sunday morning in a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of Antrim Church and Zarger roads, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Police said Tara Zeger, age and address unavailable, was driving a 2003 Honda Element north on Antrim Church Road at 1:26 a.m. when the car went through the intersection, hit a large rock and rolled onto its side.

Police said Zeger was wearing a seat belt and had moderate injuries.

Motorcycle stolen in Pa.


CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the theft Saturday of a motorcycle from 1334 Pine Stump Road.

Police said the 1999 CR250R motorcycle was stolen off a transport trailer between 1 and 8 a.m. The cycle belongs to James Eichenlaub, 25, of Chambersburg, police said.

In a separate report, police said two all-terrain vehicles were stolen Saturday from a storage shed at 6926 Rice Road in Southampton Township. The ATVs belong to Ted W. Jr. and Corey Allan Scheaffer of Shippensburg, Pa., and were reported stolen at 1:52 a.m., police said.
