Caregivers luncheon


MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Join others who care for adult loved ones for a LunchOut from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 6, at Shoney's in Martinsburg. Heartland of Martinsburg will sponsor this month's meal.

Caregivers will learn about estate planning from Daniel Staggers of Staggers & Staggers Law Office and be able to have their questions answered.

Aging seminar


FREDERICK, Md. - An educational seminar entitled "It Takes a Community to Protect the Aging" will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Frederick County Health Department, 350 Montevue Lane, entrance C. The seminar is sponsored by the Elder Crisis Task Force.

Topics to be discussed include value of aging, detecting and avoiding abuse, and how to get help.

Morning refreshments and lunch are included in the $5 registration fee. To register, include your name, address, phone number and a check for $5 made payable to Elder Crisis Task Force, to Department on Aging, 1440 Taney Ave., Frederick, MD 21702.
