Pet Adoptathon this weekend

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - The Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County, W.Va., will have a Pet Adoptathon Saturday, April 23, from noon to 3 p.m., and Sunday, April 24, from noon to 2 p.m. The event will be at the Animal Welfare Society Shelter on Leetown Pike outside of Charles Town, near the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

There will be door prizes and reduced adoption fees. All adoption fees include the cost of the spay/neuter, vaccinations (including rabies), deworming and feline leukemia testing.

Outback chicken sandwiches and refreshments will be available on Saturday.

If you are unable to have a pet at this time, volunteer at the shelter, donate needed items or a cash donation to help homeless pets in your community.
