INWOOD, W.Va. - Joey Pletcher went 4-for-4 as No. 4 Mussleman piled up 19 hits to snap a three-game losing streak with a five-inning 12-2 victory over Moorefield on Tuesday.

Justin Combs had three hits, while Josh Hess, A.D. Elliott, Kenny Remsberg and Kevin Remsburg each added two hits for the Applemen (8-3). Brad Mason scattered five hits in the complete-game win.

Camp Hill 4, No. 7 Greencastle 3

CAMP HILL, Pa. - Greencastle rallied from three runs down in the final two innings, but surrendered the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh to Camp Hill in a Mid-Penn Capital contest.

Brett Thrush had two hits and scored the first run for the Blue Devils (6-5, 4-3) on an RBI double by Corey Briggs in the sixth. Thrush, who also drove in a run, scored the tying run in the seventh on a two-out double by Conrad Meyers.

Chestnut Ridge 7, Southern Fulton 2

FISHERTOWN, Pa. - Tyler Elbin had two of Southern Fulton's three hits, but the Indians fell to Chestnut Ridge in the Sideling Hill League.

Matt Keebaugh drove in a run for Southern Fulton (2-6, 1-5).

Clear Spring 10, Berkeley Springs 3

CLEAR SPRING - Larry Hose struck out 11 to lead Clear Spring (2-8) over Berkeley Springs.

Scott Keeney and Kenny Shanholtz each added three hits for the Blazers (2-8), who had 12 hits in the game. Corey Baker and Andrew Blickenstaff each had two hits.


No. 5 Greencastle 15, Camp Hill 0

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Kris Root homered twice and drove in five runs as Greencastle romped to a Mid-Penn Capital win over Camp Hill in four innings.

Sarah Signore allowed one hit and fanned eight in three innings to notch her eighth win of the season for the Blue Devils (10-1, 8-0). Signore also went 4-for-4 with two RBI and Brittany Main, who pitched the final inning, knocked in two runs.

Goretti 15, St. James 3

PINESBURG - Elena Prieston and Chrystal Kline combined on a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts as St. Maria Goretti rolled past St. James in five innings.

Erica DiMercurio had two hits and drove in two runs, while Kline, who fanned four in the last two innings, added an RBI double for the Gaels (2-10).

Malone Roberts had the lone hit for St. James.

Chestnut Ridge 10, Southern Fulton 4

FISHERTOWN, Pa. - Chestnut Ridge scored four runs in the fourth inning and four more in the fifth to pull away from Southern Fulton.

Courtney Trainor went 3-for-4 with a triple and Irma Appel drove in a run for the Indians (1-7).

Fannett-Metal 5, McConnellsburg 3

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Hilary DeShong hit a solo home run and McConnellsburg turned a triple play in the second inning, but it wasn't enough for the Spartans (3-7, 0-7) to beat Fannett-Metal in a Sideling Hill League game.

Mountain View 16, Grace Academy 10

STEPHENS CITY, Va. - Rebecca Morgan and Kelsie Schaffer each had two hits and an RBI for Grace Academy (2-4), which committed nine errors in its loss to Mountain View.


Flint Hill 12, St. James 11

ST. JAMES - Flint Hill scored the winning goal 53 seconds into overtime to win a Mid Atlantic Conference match over St. James.

Miles Chan led the Saints (1-5, 0-3) with seven goals.

Smithsburg 20, North 8

SMITHSBURG - Ryan Smith had a big night on Smithsburg's Senior Night, getting six goals and two assists to lead the Leopards over North Hagerstown.

Craig Hoban had four goals and Brad Schaeffer had two goals and five assists for Smithsburg (6-2).

James Idol and Philip Johns each had three goals for North.


CVCS 4, Heritage 3

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Jennifer King scored two goals and Jessica Ellis added a goal and an assist for Heritage Academy in a Mason Dixon Christian Conference loss to Cumberland Valley Christian.

Broadfording 2, Highland View 0

Amber Grimm and Emily Ahalt each scored a goal, while Tina Conner and Thoa Corcoran each had an assist to lead Broadfording Christian (2-3-1, 1-3-1) over Highland View Academy.


Frederick 14, Hagerstown 8

FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick Community College scored four unearned runs in the seventh inning to take the lead and added five more runs in the eighth to knock off Hagerstown Community College.

Marty Kaetzel and Nathan Himes each had two hits for the Hawks (20-13), who committed four errors. Eric Miksitz drove in three runs.

George Mason 2, Mount St. Mary's 1

FARIFAX, Va. - Thomas Johnson graduate Joe Hayes had two hits to raise his team-leading batting average to .358, but Mount St. Mary's was edged by George Mason.

Mount pitcher Craig Henson, a Boonsboro grad, scattered seven hits over four innings and took the loss. Henson fanned three in the rain-shortened five-inning contest.

South Hagerstown grad Danny Fowler singled to load the bases in the fourth inning with one out, but a double play ended the threat.


Rams' Bradshaw shoots 75

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Shepherd University's David Bradshaw shot a 75 for Shepherd University in the second day of the WVIAC Tournament held at Cacapon Golf Course.

Concord leads with a two-day score of 596 while Shepherd is in sixth with 611.
