BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Michael Dougherty, a financial planner from West Virginia University, gave his final report on the town's finances to the Bath Town Council members at their last meeting.

Dougherty was hired last year by Citizens National Bank in Berkeley Springs to help the town with its financial problems.

Last fall, he held separate meetings for the town businesses and residents to hear complaints and suggestions regarding the town's operations and financial problems.

The Final Report on Finances and Operations for the Town of Bath presents the problems the town is faced with and offers solutions with advantages and disadvantages.

Bath Mayor Susan Webster said the report contained few surprises.

A public meeting to "discuss and break down" the report will be April 26 at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 110 S. Green St. Webster said she wants both town businesses and residents to attend together. Dougherty will be on hand to explain the report, she said.
