BB&T Bank


Susan Dellinger recently was named vice president and regional mortgage manager for the Potomac Region of BB&T Bank.

Dellinger previously served as assistant branch manager and consumer loan officer. She has received several honors, including the Top Client Service award, Top Performer award and Sterling Performance award.

Dellinger is a 1980 graduate of Williamsport High School.

Women of the Moose


FUNKSTOWN - J. Anne Toms, senior regent of the Funkstown chapter of the Women of the Moose, recently attended the organization's mid-year conference in Ocean City, Md.

The senior regents from the top five honor chapters were invited to deliver speeches at the conference. The Funkstown chapter was the second-place honor chapter.

Joy El Ministries


GREENCASTLE, Pa. -Two members of the staff of Joy El Ministries recently celebrated employment milestones.

· Dwight Myers, program director at Camp Joy El, celebrated 10 years with Joy El Ministries.

Myers began as a youth ministry coordinator and served in that capacity until 2002, when he became interim director of camping ministries. He became program director in January.

· Randy Bradley, regional coordinator for missionary staff in York and Lancaster counties, celebrated five years with Joy El Ministries.

Bradley began as a volunteer, serving as co-school coordinator/program coordinator in the Released Time Bible Program. He moved into a paid staff position in 2000 as area coordinator.

Columbia Gas of Maryland


Doug Smallwood recently was named operations center manager for Columbia Gas of Maryland.

Smallwood has served as operations specialist for Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania and Columbia Gas of Maryland since June 2004. Prior to that, Smallwood was operations center manager for the Pennsylvania South operations center, based in Charleroi, Pa.

Smallwood began his career at Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania's York location as a laborer in the plant department. He has held various operating positions with Columbia Gas, including street service A, customer service A, area service supervisor, area manager and operations manager.

Smallwood earned a master's degree in business administration from California University of Pennsylvania in May 2004. He holds a bachelor's degree from Bluefield College and an associate's degree from Strayer University.

MCI-Hagerstown


Lt. Timothy Manuel, a correctional officer on the 12-8 shift, has been named Supervisor of the Quarter for April through June at the Maryland Correctional Institution-Hagerstown.

Manuel received the award for administering medical treatment to an inmate who had numerous stab wounds.

Roxbury Correctional Institution


Lt. Harry Baker, a correctional officer, has been named Supervisor of the Quarter for April through June at Roxbury Correctional Institution.

Baker received the award for his role in developing the institution's ceremonial unit.

Coldwell Banker


James Whitaker recently joined the staff of the Hagerstown office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage as a sales associate.

Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA


CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -Maria "Pina" Wiesman recently joined the staff of the Chambersburg office of Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA as a sales associate.

Wiesman attended pre-licensing courses at the Foster School of Real Estate in Chambersburg. She is a member of the Pen Mar Regional Association of Realtors and the Metropolitan Regional Information System.

Dr. Paul McAllister


Local dentist Dr. Paul McAllister will attend the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry's 21st annual Scientific Session in Nashville, Tenn., April 19-23.

McAllister is a cosmetic dentist practicing at 11151 Robinwood Drive in Hagerstown.

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry is the largest international dental organization dedicated specifically to the art and science of cosmetic dentistry. Founded in 1984, the AACD has more than 6,800 members in the United States and more than 50 countries around the world.

St. Lawrence Cement


Raj Arvalahan has joined St. Lawrence Cement in the recently created position of senior process engineer, according to a company announcement.

Arvalahan began his career in the cement industry in Sri Lanka and recently worked in St. Lawrence's Mississauga plant.

He and his family live in Hagerstown.
