Fulton County car accident kills two

WELLS TANNERY, Pa. - Two people died Friday afternoon when the 2000 Ford Taurus they were riding in was involved in a collision with a Nissan Maxima at the intersection of Pa. 915 and Tannery Road, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Pronounced dead at the Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, Pa., shortly after the 1:50 p.m. accident was Linda Petron, age unknown, of West Tannery Road, police said.

The second passenger in the Ford was Doyle Forre, age unknown, of 236 W. Tannery Road, who was pronounced dead at Altoona (Pa.) Hospital by Blair County Coroner Patty Ross, who told police the cause of death was blunt force trauma.

Police said the Ford was northbound on Pa. 915 when it attempted to make a left turn onto Tannery Road, directly in the path of the southbound Nissan, driven by Diane Palmer, 59, of Fort Littleton, Pa. Her injuries were described as minor.

The driver of the Ford, Ruby Forre, 66, of 236 W. Tannery Road, also sustained minor injuries, police said.

Seat belts were in use, police said.
