Games to benefit scholarship

Clear Spring Middle School students, staff and alumni will suit up Friday, April 29, for two softball games to benefit the Washington County Counselors Scholarship.

According to counselor Earl Meagher, a doubleheader to benefit the fund will begin at 2 p.m. at the Clear Spring High School baseball field.

In the first game, the Clear Spring Middle School eighth-grade boys team will take on the Springfield Middle School eighth-grade boys team. In the second game, staff and alumni will play Washington County-area police officers.

Meagher said programs for the games will be available at the door for a donation. People who donate to the fund will be given recognition in the programs.
