Comprehensive plan adopted by Funkstown Town Council

April 12, 2005|by PEPPER BALLARD

After a public hearing Monday, the Funkstown Town Council voted to adopt the town's comprehensive plan.

A town planning commission member, a town appeals board member and Town Attorney Robert E. Kuczynski, who guided the hearing, were the only people other than council members and a reporter in attendance Monday. Mayor Robert L. Kline and Town Council Member John Phillips III were absent.

The plan serves as a guide to ensure the development of public and private property and must be updated regularly according to law, Kuczynski said. The last town comprehensive plan was adopted June 10, 1996, he said.
