Spring car show set in Harpers Ferry

HARPERS FERRY, W. Va. - The Country Roads Car Club has scheduled its ninth annual Spring Show for Saturday, May 14, from noon to 4 p.m.

The show site is shifting to a larger field this year at the Harpers Ferry Flea Market, located just off Rt. 340 near Harpers Ferry. Three acres of parking will be available for cars, trucks and motorcycles of all makes and years.

Awards will be given to the top 30 cars and trucks and top five motorcycles. Dash plaques will be given to the first 50 registered vehicles.

Entry fee is $12. The flea market will be hosting an auto parts swap meet all weekend.

Rain date for the show is May 15.

Also, Larry "Bubba" Harmon of the Country Roads club said Cruisin' the Cone Zone will start Friday, May 6. The event happens every Friday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Somerset Village Shopping Center (next to Alex Chevrolet) in Charles Town, W.Va.


Car, truck and motorcycle owners are invited to come by for ice cream, talk, music, games and fun. Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food donations for the Jefferson County Ministries Food Pantry. NSRA inspections are available.
