Sheriff's deputies respond to calls

The Washington County Sheriff's Department responded to the following calls Tuesday, according to Sgt. Mark Knight:

· Reported at 8 a.m., alleged domestic violence in the 17300 block of Bakersville Road, southwest of Fairplay. No one was arrested.

· Reported at 3 p.m., alleged shoplifting at Target on Cole Road Three people were arrested: Charles Gregory Stickell, 28, of Williamsport; Tammy Marie Mahoney, 36, whose address was unknown; and Everett Dale Barrick, 37, of Williamsport. Each was charged with theft over $500 and conspiracy to commit theft.

· Reported at 5 p.m., a rear license plate from a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero was stolen in the 17600 block of Homewood Road in Halfway. The license plate registration is Maryland MXW753.


· Reported at 9 p.m., alleged domestic violence in the 18600 block of Carolyn Street, off Pennsylvania Avenue, north of Hagerstown. No one was arrested.

Man faces charges in Frederick stabbing

FREDERICK, Md. - A 51-year-old man was charged hours after a stabbing was reported early Wednesday, the Frederick Police Department said in a news release.

Dana Andrew Ricks, of no fixed address, was charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment in an incident reported at 1:20 a.m., police said.

Police alleged that Ricks stabbed the victim, who was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, in the 500 block of West South Street.

Ricks was taken into custody when he tried to report for work at a Frederick business, police said.

A police spokesperson could not be reached late Wednesday for comment on the victim's identity or condition.

Pa. woman charged in fight, stabbing

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A borough woman was charged with stabbing her boyfriend twice during a fight in their home Monday, according to Chambersburg Police.

Felicia Hammonds, 24, of 136 E. Queen St., was charged with aggravated assault in connection with a fight with Larry D. Wilson, age unavailable, of the same address. Police allege the two got into an altercation and she stabbed him in the left arm and right leg.

Wilson required nine stitches in the arm and five stitches in his leg, police said.

Two people hurt in Wednesday crash

ST. THOMAS, Pa. - Two people were injured Wednesday morning in a one-vehicle accident on the Edenville-Cheesetown Road in St. Thomas Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Police said Samantha M. Brown, 18, address unavailable, of Chambersburg, was driving a 2001 Ford Ranger at 3:45 a.m. when it ran off the road and rolled onto its passenger side. She and passenger Stuart Broussard, 19, of Chambersburg, had minor injuries, police said.
