CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Bettie Rae Gallagher combined two of her favorites - landscapes and painting with oil - for much of her work on display at the Council for the Arts in Chambersburg.

Gallagher, 71, who lives in the Chambersburg area, likes the richness of oils. She also paints in pastels.

The exhibit at 159 S. Main St. includes works by Franklin County artists Donna Bingaman, Marianne Byers and Alan Miller.

The paintings and pottery will be on display through Saturday, April 16.

The council's gallery is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
