Melanie K. Taylor and Vincent T. Lau were married Saturday, March 6, 2004, at Mayfair Farms in West Orange, N.J.

The bride is the daughter of Kathy and Mert Brenneman of Boonsboro. The bridegroom is the son of Lam Ching and Yuk Ching Lau of New York.

The bride is a 1995 graduate of Boonsboro High School, received a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice and sociology from Rutgers University in Newark, N.J., and a degree in public interest law from City University of New York School of Law in Flushing, N.Y., in 2004. She is an associate attorney with the Law Offices of Bjorn Holubar in New York.

The bridegroom is a 1992 graduate of Stuyvesant High School in New York and received a bachelor of science degree in finance and international business from New York University in 1996. He is a network and products engineer with Goldman Sachs in New York City.

Pierce-Stangle


June Marie Stangle and Floyd Cecil Pierce Jr. were married Feb. 14, 2005, at their home in Hagerstown.

The bride is the daughter of the late Leon and Dolores Shumaker. The bridegroom is the son of Hazel Clark of Cearfoss and the late Cecil Pierce Sr., and is the stepson of the late Orville Clark.

The bride is a 1978 graduate of Boonsboro High School. She is owner of a janitorial company.

The bridegroom is a 1980 graduate of Boonsboro High School. He is employed as a maintenance mechanic with the Department of Energy in Germantown, Md.

They live in Greenberry Hills, Hagerstown.
