SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Rebecca Lynn McNeal, 26, of Shepherdstown, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born July 13, 1978, in Bedford, Ind., she was the daughter of Alvie McNeal and Nedri Hayman McNeal of Shepherdstown.

She was a 1998 graduate of Jefferson High School, where she was a member of the marching band and the FFA. She was attending Valley Technical College.

She was a member of Tri-State United Pentecostal Church.

She was a member of the FFA Alumni.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Rachel McNeal of Shepherdstown; four brothers, Steve McNeal and Raymond McNeal, both of Martinsburg, and Leonard McNeal and Donald McNeal, both of Shepherdstown; one niece; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Nathan McNeal.

Services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg. The Rev. Robert S. Gordon will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Shepherdstown.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mae L. Burns, 92


NOV. 27, 1912-MARCH 22, 2005

Mae Linda Burns, 92, of 12441 Deer Lodge Drive, Hagerstown died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at Julia Manor Nursing Home in Hagerstown.

Born Nov. 27, 1912, in Bryn Mawr, Pa., she was the daughter of the late James A. King and Marion Siddeons McLaughlin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin C. Burns.

She is survived by one daughter, Hope C. Billig of Gap, Pa.; one son, Frank Burns of Hagerstown; three sisters, Helen Lewis of Norristown, Pa., Elizabeth Mellagan of Broomall, Pa., and Ethel Shander of Havertown, Pa.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Graveside services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Valley Forge Gardens in King of Prussia, Pa.

There will be no viewing.

Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.




Harold V. Grove, 86


APRIL 4, 1918-MARCH 22, 2005

PAW PAW, W.Va. - Harold Victor Grove, 86, of Paw Paw, died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Born April 4, 1918, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles W. and Lucy Clark Grove.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Theora Jean Stevens Grove; one sister, Mary Webb of Cummings, Ga.; one brother, Harry Grove of Hagerstown; and nieces and nephews including Frederick Stevens, whom he raised.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Faye Grove; three sisters, Leta Myers, Minnie Pomroy and Helen Forry; and five brothers, John Grove, Leslie Grove, Jerry Grove, Charles Grove and Roy Grove.

Graveside services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Pleasant View Memory Gardens. Pastor Hal Butman will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Court, Martinsburg, WV 25401.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg.




Jacqueline K. Reedy, 78


JULY 15, 1926-MARCH 23, 2005

Jacqueline "Ma" Katherine Kelly Reedy, 78, of Hagerstown, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at Washington County Hospital.

She was born July 15, 1926, in Shreveport, La.

She was a 1943 graduate of St. Vincent High School in Shreveport.

She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church.

A member of the American Legion Post 211 in Funkstown, she also was an avid bingo player.

She is survived by her children, Linda Dunn and her husband Glenn of Hagerstown, Thomas Wayne Reedy and his wife Rose of Dale City, Va., Dottie Shipe and her husband Michael of Hagerstown, Lynnwood H. Reedy Jr. and his wife Tina of Hagerstown, Pat Kochera and her husband Bob of Hagerstown, and Alice Bartgis and her husband John of Frederick, Md.; a sister, Margaret Patricia Henderson of Blanchard, La.; a brother, Thomas Donald Kelly of Shreveport; a sister, Paula Jean Banks of Hurst, Texas; 24 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynnwood H. Reedy, whom she married Dec. 26, 1943; a brother, Andrew Kelly Jr.; and a sister, Anne Marie Cabe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 28, 2005, at St. Marys Catholic Church, 224 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, with the Rev. George A. Limmer as celebrant.

Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington County Commission on Aging Inc., 9 Public Square, Hagerstown, MD 21740.

SOPHIA, W.Va. - Ruth Calliope Nicewarner, 90, of Sophia, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Raleigh General Hospital following a short illness.
