Easter egg hunts

WILLIAMSPORT - A community Easter egg hunt will be Thursday, March 24, at 5:30 p.m. at Williamsport Retirement Village, 154 N. Artizan St., near the visitors parking lot at the nursing home.

The Easter Bunny will make an appearance as children in three age groups up to age 13 seek eggs hidden outside the nursing home and both assisted living homes. There will be three winners in each age group.

WILLIAMSPORT - The Williamsport Volunteer Fire Co.'s annual Easter egg hunt will be Saturday, March 26, at 10 a.m., at the fire hall on Brandy Drive.

The activity, for children up to age 12, includes a visit from the Easter Bunny.

WILLIAMSPORT - An Easter Extravaganza will be Sunday, March 27, at Gateway Ministries, Md. 63 at Kemps Mill Road.

There will be an Easter Eggsplosion Mystery at 10 a.m. with 10,000 eggs, three of which contain prizes. There also will be candy, inflatable bounces, giant slides and giveaways.


LEITERSBURG - The annual Easter egg hunt for children in the Leitersburg area will be Saturday, April 9, at 1 p.m.

Sponsored by the Leitersburg Volunteer Fire Co. auxiliary, the hunt will be at the fire hall, 21431 Leiter St. Children up to 12 years old may participate.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - An Easter egg hunt for children age 12 and younger will be held Saturday, March 26, at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 549 N. Queen St., beginning at 1:30 p.m.

There will be prizes and refreshments.

MONT ALTO, Pa. - The 11th annual Easter Eggstravaganza egg hunt at the Penn State Mont Alto campus will be Saturday, March 26, at 11 a.m., at the soccer field.

The event is free and open to children and families in surrounding communities. Children will be divided into age categories to hunt for eggs.

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - An Easter egg hunt will be Saturday, March 26, at Morgan's Grove Park, beginning at 10 a.m.

In addition to the hunt, children will have the opportunity to have pictures taken with the Easter Bunny. A fee of $5 applies for both the hunt and a picture. Additional pictures cost $3.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

FREDERICK, Md. - The annual Egg Fest sponsored by the Frederick County Department of Parks and Recreation will be Saturday, April 2, at 10:30 a.m. at Kemptown Park.

In addition to the free egg hunt, there will be egg-related games, crafts and other activities until 3 p.m. There is a $5 entrance fee.

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
