Savina E. Escalante, newborn

Savina Elaine Escalante, newborn, of Smithsburg, died just hours after being born Saturday, March 19, 2005, at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.

She is survived by her parents, Ismael B. and Dawn Marie Boone Escalante of Smithsburg, one brother, Robert M. Escalante, at home; maternal grandparents, Robert M. and Bonnie E. Boone of Smithsburg; paternal grandfather, Margarito Escalante Perez of Guatemala; maternal great-grandmother, Ruth Oden of Frederick, Md.; maternal stepgreat-grandmother, Charlotte Boone of Frederick; two uncles; and five aunts.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown. The Rev. Bruce Foster will officiate.

Memorial donations may be made to the family.

Arrangements are by Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagers- town.

Robert M. Frank, 91

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Robert M. "Andy" Frank, 91, of 91 Grandview Ave., died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Chambersburg Hospital.


Born Feb. 24, 1914, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late John and Bessie McCleaf Frank.

He retired in 1976 from Letterkenny Army Depot, where he had been employed for more than 30 years.

He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church.

He was a member of Junior Hose and Truck Company 2; Falling Spring Chapter 2840 AARP; Elks Lodge 600; National Association of Retired Federal Employees 1063; and Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion, all in Chambersburg.

He is survived by his wife, June I. Salmon Frank, whom he married May 11, 1940; two daughters, Linda D. Czap of Chambersburg and Christina R. Hays of Severn, Md.; one granddaughter; and one cousin.

Services will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. Matthew Richardson will officiate. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday in the funeral home.

The family requests the omission of flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to Central Presbyterian Church, 40 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to a charity of one's choice.

Katherine E. Davidson, 44

MARCH 14, 1961-MARCH 18, 2005

LOS OSOS, Calif. - Katherine Ellen Davidson, 44, of Los Osos, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Friday, March 18, 2005, at Sierra Vista Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, Calif.

Born March 14, 1961, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Ellen Elizabeth Iseminger Stahl and the late Richard Franklin Stahl.

She was a member of North Hagerstown High School class of 1979.

She was a homemaker.

She was formerly employed by The Dutch Kitchen Restaurant in Hagerstown.

She was formerly a member of Christ's Reformed Church.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence F. Davidson of Los Osos; one daughter, Jill M. Shipley-Rude of Hagerstown; two sisters, Diane M. Stahl of Hagerstown, and Susan E. Rude of Falling Waters, W.Va.; one brother, James G. Stahl of Cumberland, Md.; aunts; uncles; nieces; and nephews.

A memorial service in conjunction with her father, Richard F. Stahl, who died March 11, 2005, will be held Thursday, March 24, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home in Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Richard F. Stahl, 76

WILLIAMSPORT - Richard Franklin Stahl, 76, of Van Lear, Williamsport, died Friday, March 11, 2005, at his home.

Memorial services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown. The Rev. Don Stevenson will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the services.

Helen M. Murray, 81

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Helen Marie Murray, 81, of Baumgardner Drive, and formerly of Hancock, died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Homewood at Williamsport.

Born Sept. 7, 1921, in Charles Town, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Rev. Edward S. Hays and Mary Jang Gorman.

Her husband, Edwin W. "Bud" Murray, died Oct. 23, 1975. They were married Sept. 16, 1950.

She was a 1939 graduate of Carlisle (Pa.) High School and graduated from business college.

She was librarian for Hancock Library for a number of years.

She was a member of Hancock United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Wina M. Johnson of Greencastle; one son, E.W. Chip Murray of Cresaptown, Md.; one brother, Charles E. Hays of Defiance, Pa.; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, John Hays.

Memorial services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Hancock United Methodist Church. The Rev. Duane Jensen will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
