Williamsport service news

Civilian R. Scott Mumma, son of Tammy Mumma of Hagerstown, and Ron Mumma of Mercersburg, Pa., recently enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps under the Delayed Entry Program at Baltimore MEPS, Fort Meade, Md.

Mumma will report for active duty to undergo basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C.

He is completing his senior year at Williamsport High School.




Army Staff Sgt. Daniel J. Yentsch, son of Catherine L. and Joseph G. Yentsch of Williamsport, Md. has arrived for duty at Camp Humphreys, Pyongtaek-Gun, South Korea.

Yentsch is a military police officer assigned to the 557th Military Police Company.

His wife, Stephanie, is the daughter of Stephen and Sandra Barrett, of Fayetteville, N.C.

Yentsch is a 1996 graduate of Williamsport High School.
