Area roundup - Cotterman, McGill win in career finales

BETHESDA, Md. - In a matchup of two-time state champions, Williamsport's Mike McGill won an 11-5 decision over Strasburg, Va.'s Jeff Mustermam in the 145-pound weight class at the Maryland vs. Virginia Senior Classic on Sunday.

Walkersville's Chad Cotterman, a two-time state runner-up, beat North Stafford's T.J. Baker 3-0 in the 135-pound bout as Maryland won the dual meet, 34-28.




PREP INDOOR TRACK



Hensley 22nd at Nike meet


LANDOVER, Md. - Boonsboro senior Sarah Hensley placed 22nd in a national field of 35 in the girls 60-meter hurdles in 9.27 seconds at the Nike Indoor Championships.




RUNNING



Spinnler takes title


BALTIMORE - Hagerstown's Maria Spinnler, 43, won the women's masters division in 18:28 at the Shamrock 5K.

Jill Krebs, 24, of New Windsor, Md., was the overall women's winner in 16:57. Neely Spence, 14, of Shippensburg, Pa., was second in 17:48.

NCAA INDOOR TRACK



Lacy eighth at nationals


BOSTON - Shippensburg University senior Tunisia Lacy, a Chambersburg High graduate, earned All-America status in the triple jump for the second straight year at the NCAA Division II championships Saturday.

Lacy placed eighth with a leap of 38 feet, 4 3/4 inches. She was fourth last year.
