March 09, 2005|by TARA REILLY

The Washington County Commissioners on Tuesday renewed a contract with a Toms River, N.J., company to provide uniforms for Sheriff's Department patrol and judicial deputies.

The one-year contract went to Red the Uniform Tailor Inc.

The Sheriff's Department budgeted $6,000 for uniforms for judicial deputies and $43,067 for uniforms for patrol deputies in fiscal year 2005, according to information provided by the county.

The County Commissioners also authorized staff to rebid a contract for uniforms for correctional officers. The contractor that supplies those uniforms did not want to renew the contract.
