Wholesale Millwork moving

February 25, 2005|by JULIE E. GREENE

WILLIAMSPORT - Wholesale Millwork Inc. will move its local distribution operation from leased space into its own new building in late summer, said company President Joe Palencar.

The supplier of wood and synthetic moldings and millwork to professional lumber yards in the mid-Atlantic area is moving into a bigger space to accommodate growth, Palencar said.

The company is investing $2 million in land acquisition, the construction of a 45,000-square-foot facility and maintenance of a historic stone house from the 1800s and a barn on the property at the corner of Hopewell Road and Hunters Green Parkway, Palencar said.

Wholesale Millwork has been leasing 40,000 square feet at Bowman Development Corp.'s Trend Lines building at 9912 Governor Lane Blvd. since September 2004, he said.

The company employs 15 people and is expected to add three to five full-time jobs by the end of the year, Palencar said.

The new building will be on 6 acres in Hunters Green Business Center Phase I, according to a Hagerstown-Washington County Economic Development Commission news release.
