Administrative professionals will hold luncheon

February 23, 2005

Hager Chapter, International Association of Administrative Professionals, will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Saturday, April 9, at a luncheon to be held at Fountain Head Country Club in Hagerstown.

Hager Chapter was chartered in March 1955. At that time, it was a member of the National Secretaries Association. The name later was changed to Professional Secretaries International and in 1998 the name again was changed to International Association of Administrative Professionals.

This organization recognizes that a position of trust imposes ethical obligations upon office professionals to act for the benefit of employers, clients and the public. The members are expected to establish and promulgate standards of professional conduct and resolve to be guided by them as embodying the ethical ideals of their profession.

Members of Hager Chapter are inviting former members to celebrate this 50th anniversary with them. Since a number of former members might be living outside the Tri-State area, relatives and friends are requested to provide names and addresses to Rebecca Muritz at 301-733-7809. Former members who live in this area may call the same number to make a reservation for the luncheon. Deadline for reservations is March 18.
