Teen pageant makes its debut

For the first time, girls ages 13 to 17 will compete for the crown of Miss Teen Washington County/Miss Teen Western Maryland during the Miss Western Maryland/Miss Washington County Scholarship Pageant.

The pageant starts at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at Hagerstown Community College's Kepler Theater.

Each winner will receive a $100 savings bond, trophy and flowers, and will compete in the Miss Teen Maryland Pageant on Friday, June 24, at The Maryland Theatre in Hagerstown.

Lindsay Marie Anderson, 16, of Williamsport
Parents: Kirk and Laura Anderson
Education: Junior at Williamsport High School
Talent: Singing "Journey to the Past"Whitney Marie Colombo, 15, of Hagerstown

Education: Sophomore at North Hagerstown High School
Talent: Ballet dance to "This is the Night"

Kayla Fotta, 13, of Thurmont, Md.

Education: Seventh-grader at Thurmont Middle School
Talent: Singing "Beautiful"Karly Logsdon, 13, of Hagerstown
