Betty O. Eyer, 93

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Betty O. Eyer, 93, of 2687 St. Paul Road, Luther Ridge, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at home.

Born Oct. 6, 1911, in Rouzerville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Smiley Ogle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Glenn M. Eyer, in 2003.

She assisted her husband in the early operation of his podiatry office in Chambersburg.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church.

She was a member of Martha Custis Chapter 342 Order of the Eastern Star.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home in Chambersburg. The Rev. Stephen W. Dorsett will officiate. Burial will be in Upper Strasburg Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Lois M. Boyer, 81

Lois Marie Boyer, 81, of Oak Ridge Garden Apartments, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Baltimore.

Born June 12, 1923, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late William Kiefer Loudenslager and Nancy B. Shank Loudenslager.

She was a 1941 graduate of North East High School in North East, Md.

She was a member of Zion Evangelical Reformed United Church of Christ.

She was a member of Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, William Edward Boyer, whom she married July 3, 1941; two daughters, JoAnn M. Myers and Lois A. B. Keller, both of Hagerstown; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home in Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert Royal will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Richard J. Treece, 41


NOV. 15, 1963-FEB. 15, 2005

BREEZEWOOD, Pa. - Richard J. "Rick" Treece, 41, of East Mattie Road, Breezewood, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at home.

He was born Nov. 15, 1963, in Everett, Pa., a son of Rollin Treece Jr. of Everett and the late Linda Darlene Snyder Treece, who preceded him in death on Jan. 20, 1997.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his stepmother, Sheryl Bowen Treece; sister, Sherri L. Hershberger and fianc Brett Miller of Bedford, Pa.; brother, Brian K. Treece of Breezewood; nieces, Alecia, Alessondra, and Tessa; special little friend, Brighton; stepbrother, Edward Bowen and wife Joyce Clark Bowen of Clearville, Pa.; and stepsister, Renee and husband Joe Vandevordie of Fort Byron, Ill.

Rick was a member of Worldwide Church of God.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1982 to 1986 as a boiler technician and fireman's mate aboard the USS Concord, having served in Beirut and throughout the Mediterranean.

After his service with the Navy, he was employed as a boiler operator at Blue Triangle Hardwoods in Everett, and then worked as a welder at Grove Manufacturing in Shady Grove, Pa., JLG in Fort Littleton, Pa., and then at Letterkenney Army Depot, Chambersburg, Pa.

He was a member of Everett Area High School Class of 1982, Breezewood VFW Post 8333, Everett American Legion Post 8 and was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding ATV. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, at 11 a.m., at Dalla Valle Funeral Chapel in Everett. The Rev. Virgil Frazier and the Rev. Gary Boor will officiate.

Friends may call at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Burial will be in Stevens Chapel Cemetery.

Evelyn R. Campbell, 86


JUNE 1, 1918-FEB. 15, 2005

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Evelyn Rodgers Campbell, 86, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at Heartland of Martinsburg.

Born June 1, 1918, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Luther E. and Mabel Hutchinson Rodgers.

Her husband, Rufus M. "Buck" Campbell, preceded her in death.

She was a member of Bethany-Oakland United Methodist Church in Charles Town, W.Va.

She is survived by one brother, Walter E. Rodgers of Kearneysville, W.Va.

Graveside services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Grave's Chapel Cemetery in Stanley, Va. The Rev. JoAnne Alexander will officiate.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg.

NEEDMORE, Pa. - Dora Irene Truax, 89, of 5544 Pleasant Ridge Road, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at her daughter's home in Winchester, Va.

Born Aug. 24, 1915, in Johnstown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Samuel L. and Elsie I. Decker Deshong.
