Movies opening this week

"Because of Winn-Dixie" (PG) - A lonely young girl adopts an orphaned dog, Winn-Dixie (so-named for the supermarket where she found him), who helps her make friends in the small Florida town. The bond between the girl and her companion brings the townspeople together and helps heal her troubled relationship with her father. Starring Annasophia Robb, Jeff Daniels, Elle Fanning, Dave Matthews and Cicely Tyson.

"Constantine" (R) - John Constantine (Keanu Reeves) is a world-traveling, mage-like misfit who investigates supernatural mysteries, walking a thin line between good and evil. He teams up with a skeptical female police detective, Angela (Rachel Weisz), who seeks Constantine's help while investigating her twin sister's suicide. Max Baker, Djimon Hounsou and Tilda Swinton also star.
