February 08, 2005

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Police and fire crews responded to the scene of a camper and vehicle fire Monday night on Blair Road in Jefferson County.

Emergency crews found a man outside the vehicles and took him to Jefferson Memorial Hospital.

Crews did not have details on his injuries.

Officials did not know how the fire started and the state fire marshal's office was investigating, said Steve Hough, captain of the Friendship Fire Co.

The camper and the vehicle were in a wide-open gravel area off Blair Road a short distance from its intersection with U.S. 340.
