How did you get into your business, or what motivated you to start it? "I have been making handcrafted items for over 30 years. I have created many types of "crafted items" and enjoy designing silk floral arrangements the most. I have designed wedding bouquets, wreaths, swags and many other items over the years and have created many unique table centerpieces. For many years, this was a 'side business' for me and recently, with the help and encouragement of my husband, I have decided to make my dream come true and open my own business. I recently left my full-time secretarial job at City Hospital to start this new adventure. I have found that the opportunity for me to be in my own shop on a daily basis gives me the chance to talk with my customers, make new friends and just enjoy sharing our "crafting" stories. This makes me appreciate even more the creative talent we have in this area. Starting my own business also affords me the opportunity to give other crafters a place to sell their crafts and display their talents."

Previous business experience: "For a short time, I rented a store front on King Street in Martinsburg, but found there was not enough foot traffic to sustain my business."
