A former Civil War hospital that now is a vacation rental property will be featured on the Travel Channel's Amazing Vacation Homes at 9 p.m. today.
The Hillenbruck Farm, adjacent to Antietam National Battlefield, also was an emergency field hospital after the Civil War battle, according to a written statement from the Hagerstown/Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The farm is owned by the Rev. Bernard F. Hillenbrand, father of Laura Hillenbrand, author of "Seabiscuit."
