He is survived by his companion, Faye Misner of Fayetteville; one daughter, Sherry Carbaugh of Newburg, Pa.; one sister, Ruth Ann Neidigh of Fayetteville; four brothers, David Beck of Maine, and Donald Beck, Paul Beck and Daniel Beck, all of Fayetteville; two grandsons; nieces; and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Joan Lane.

Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. George S. Mouer Sr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Strang's Cemetery, South Mountain, Pa., where members of Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard will conduct military graveside honors.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services Thursday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Franklin/Fulton Division, 225 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Due to a source's error, an obituary in Monday's Morning Herald for Susan Violetta Grimm, age 91, of Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home, and formerly of Rohrersville, Md., who died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at the home, omitted some information. She was preceded in death by one brother, Cyrus Leslie.

Blanche D. Brown

Due to a source's error and an editorial assistant's error, the obituary in Monday's Morning Herald for Blanche Dolores Brown, 80, formerly of 833 Lanvale St., Hagerstown, and a resident of Julia Manor, who died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Md., omitted some information. She also is survived by three sons, Charles J. Brown Sr., John J. Brown and Mark Brown Sr., all of Hagerstown.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Charlotte Staubs, and one brother, Jack Staubs.




Harold V. Farrow Sr.

HAGERSTOWN - Due to a source's error, an obituary in Monday's Morning Herald for Harold Vincent "Pete" Farrow Sr., 83, who passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at the home of his granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Renee and Randy Knight, with his family by his side, omitted some information. He also is survived by 19 great-grandchildren. Memorial donations also may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, National Pike, Clear Spring, MD 21772.
