SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. - Celius Mathias Long, 55, of Shenandoah Junction, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, at his home.
Born Sept. 18, 1949, in Creagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late John Mathias Long and Betty Jane Reddick Long.
He owned and trained racehorses. He currently was exercising horses and was a jockey valet.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Charles Town (W.Va.) Horsemen's Benevolent & Protective Association and Charles Town Moose Lodge 948.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Dawn Brackett Long; one son, Nathan M. Long of Martinsburg, W.Va.; two stepdaughters, Brooke M. Creamer and Britney D. Creamer, both at home; one brother, Johnnie M. Long of Vinton, La.; three sisters, Lola Bittner of Waynesboro, Pa., B. Irene Long of Finksburg, Md., and Carol Wantz of Martinsburg; one grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be Wednesday at noon at Jefferson Funeral Chapel, Ranson, W.Va. Pastor Rick Mann will officiate.
Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral chapel.

Robert W. Kelley, 70

Robert Woodrow Kelley, 70, of 353 Winding Oak Drive in Hagerstown, and formerly of Mount Airy, Md., died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 4, 1934, in Deerfield, Va., he was the son of the late Dean and Geneve Griffin Kelley.
He retired from F.O. Day Co. in Frederick as a heavy equipment operator.
He was of the Brethren faith.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lona B. Reese Kelley; one daughter, Carlene Bonhoff of Williamsport; two sons, Robert H. Kelley of Monrovia, Md., and William A. Kelley of Hedgesville, W.Va.; three sisters, Mable Crown of Winchester, Va., Eva Dearth of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Anna B. Call of Walkersville, Md.; three brothers, Henry Kelley of Rockville, Md., Hugh Kelley of Ariel, Pa., and Walter Kelley of Woodstock, Va.; four granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy McDaniel, and one brother, Arthur Kelley.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport. The Rev. Jack Rudy will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
