The following are the top finishers in the local competition of the Elks National Free Throw Contest Saturday at Scotland School for Veterans' Children. The number of shots made out of 25 is in parentheses.

Boys 8-9

First - Elijah Englehart, Greencastle-Antrim Elementary School (16)

Second - Carter Rajtik, Corpus Christi School (15 - made four out of five shots in an overtime shootout for second place)

Third - Spencer Vanscyoc, Nancy Grayson Elementary School (15 - made three out of five shots in overtime shootout)

Girls 8-9

First - Chole Hoover, Greencastle-Antrim Elementary School (12)

Second - Kimyetta Patterson, Scotland School for Veterans' Children (5)
