Great Tri-State Shootout


Hancock 63, Clear Spring 48

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Dustin Jenkins scored 17 points and added six rebounds and six assists to lead the Panthers past the Blazers on Monday.

Brad Spielman scored 14 points, while Alex Younker had five steals and six assists to lead Hancock (5-1).

Darrin Jackson scored 15 points for Clear Spring (0-5).

Berkeley Springs 63, Southern Fulton 43

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Tony Belt scored 30 points as Berkeley Springs handed Southern Fulton its first loss of the season in the semifinals.

Ryan Morris added 13 points for Berkeley Springs (2-2), which will take on Hancock in the championship game tonight at 8.

Brock Flowers had a team-high nine points for Southern Fulton (8-1), which will play Clear Spring in the consolation game at 6.

Jim Clark Holiday Classic


Hedgesville 42, Olympia 36

ORLANDO, Fla. - Matt Deaner scored 13 points and Hedgesville defeated Olympia, Fla., in the first round of the Jim Clark Holiday Classic.

The Eagles (4-0) took a 30-20 lead at halftime and, despite scoring only 12 points in the second half, their man-to-man defense held off Olympia, which cut the lead to four but got no closer.

Hedgesville will play Bishop Moore today in the semifinals.

New Oxford Tournament


Waynesboro 55, Littlestown 53

NEW OXFORD, Pa. - Josh Arendt scored five points in the final minute - including the game-winning 3-pointer with 24 seconds remaining - to lift Waynesboro past Littlestown in semifinal action.

Arendt finished with nine points and four assists for the Indians (5-4). Kevin Kline had 16 points and five rebounds, while John Long had 14 points, five rebounds and five blocks. Jordan Reitz added 11 points and four assists in the win.

Waynesboro will take on New Oxford in the championship game tonight at 8.

Damascus Holiday Tournament


Jefferson 75, Damascus 61

DAMASCUS, Md. - Jefferson used a 25-9 third-quarter run to erase a six-point halftime deficit and the Cougars knocked off the hosts.

Josh Brown led Jefferson (4-0) with 21 points, nine assists, seven rebounds and six steals, while freshman Vance Hosby had a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Reyland Newman had 16 points and Carl Williams and Tehron Jacobs each grabbed five boards in the win.

The Cougars will take on Wheaton, a winner over Urbana in the early game, in the championship tonight at 7:30.

Ron Engle Classic


Middletown 40, Glenelg 37

MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Patrick Carney scored 12 points and had six rebounds, while Joe Keimig had nine points, six assists and three steals for Middletown (5-1) as the Knights beat Glenelg (2-4) in the first round.

Middletown will play Heritage (Va.) tonight in the finals.

Gettysburg Holiday Tournament


Chambersburg 65, Gettysburg 45

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Chas Rahauser scored 18 points for Chambersburg in the Trojans' win over Gettysburg (2-5) in the opening round.

Jonathan Motichka added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Trojans (8-2), while Colby Nitterhouse had 10 points and seven rebounds.

Chambersburg will play South Western tonight in the finals.

Non-Tournament Game


McConnellsburg 65, Turkeyfoot 54

MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Matt Spriggs had 28 points and 10 rebounds to lead McConnellsburg past Turkeyfoot.

Josh Lowery added 15 points and seven rebounds for the Spartans (8-3), while Russell Glazier had 12 points and Jesse Richards pulled down 10 rebounds.

Lady Patriot Holiday Invitational


Hedgesville 64, Northwestern 48

FREDERICK, Md. - Miranda Reed had a game-high 25 points to lead Hedgesville past Northwestern-PG.

Jennie Finafrock had 15 points, while Ashton Butler and Samantha Guell each added nine points for the Eagles (6-0).

Hedgesville will take on host Thomas Johnson in the championship game tonight at 7.

Michelle Dearing led Northwestern (0-6) with 21 points.

Walkersville Holiday Classic


Walkersville 50, Polytechnic 43

WALKERSVILLE, Md. - Kolbi Harrison had 16 points, five assists and two steals for Walkersville as the Lions beat Polytechnic in the first round.

April Sparkman added nine points for the Lions (4-2), while Jennifer Maggi had eight points, eight blocks and six rebounds and Samantha Schanuel had eight rebounds.

Walkersville will face Urbana tonight in the finals.

Westminster Holiday Tournament


Westminster 52, Catoctin 45

WESTMINSTER, Md. - Emily Balogh led all scorers with 17 points, but Catoctin fell in the opening round.

Sara Wastler had 12 points and seven rebounds and Kate Robinson had six rebounds, three assists and three steals for the Cougars (4-3).

Williamsport 59, Boonsboro 17: Kory Harp had 12 points for Williamsport (1-1).
