Pa. man killed in Pa. 995 accident

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Chambersburg man was killed in a two-vehicle accident late Thursday in Hamilton Township, Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg said.

Police said Jeffrey Bakner, 50, died in a crash at the intersection of Pa. 995 and Leafmore Road in Franklin County, Pa.

The accident happened at 8:42 p.m., police said.

Bakner was driving a red Toyota Corolla east on Leafmore Road and failed to stop at a stop sign, police said. The vehicle was struck on the driver's side door by a Ford F-350 pickup truck driven by Terry Pogue of St. Thomas, Pa., police said.

Pogue, 52, received minor injuries, police said.

Pogue's passenger, William Rosenberger, 48, of St. Thomas, Pa., was not injured, police said.

Neither Pogue nor Rosenberger was wearing a seat belt, police said.
