Patriots turn back Hubs, 66-53

FREDERICK, Md. - Jair Brady had 16 points and eight rebounds and Clinton Jones had 15 points and nine rebounds as Thomas Johnson defeated North Hagerstown 66-53 on Monday night.

John Truxillo scored 17 points and Tim Abercrombie tallied nine assists for the Patriots (5-0).

Tyrell Wilson scored 20 points, Quielan Gantt added 15 points and eight rebounds and Jarrell Rodriquez had eight assists for the Hubs (2-3).

Tuscarora 59, Smithsburg 31

FREDERICK, Md. - Hamilton Woodfolk led Tuscarora with 14 points and nine rebounds as the Titans defeated Smithsburg to remain unbeaten.

Malcolm Kattes scored 12 points for Tuscarora (5-0).

Clay Marquiss led the Leopards (2-2) with eight points and 11 rebounds.

Gettysburg 69, Waynesboro 60

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Josh Arendt scored 21 points, including five 3-pointers, for Waynesboro as the Indians lost to Gettysburg.


Corey Livengood had 11 points while Jordan Reitz added eight assists and seven rebounds and John Long posted seven boards and three blocks for Waynesboro (3-4).

Jefferson 81, Broad Run 67

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. - Vance Hosby recorded a double-double with 28 points and 12 rebounds as Jefferson used a 28-point third quarter to pull away in a win over Broad Run.

Reyland Newman had 18 points and seven assists, and Josh Brown added 13 points and six assists for the Cougars (3-0).

McConnellsburg 78, CVCS 39

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Matt Spriggs had 16 points and a school-record 20 assists to lead McConnellsburg past Cumberland Valley Christian.

Dave Thomas had 18 points and nine rebounds for the Spartans (5-3) while Neil Peck scored 17 points and Josh Lowery had 10 points.

Adam Romero scored 12 points for CVCS.

Winters Mill 91, Catoctin 51

THURMONT, Md. - Jake Yocum scored 16 points for Catoctin in its loss to Winters Mill (5-0).

John Tumulty had nine points for the Cougars (1-4) while Derrick Thompson had five points and eight assists.

Chambersburg 67, C.D. East 56

COLONIAL PARK, Pa. - Chas Rahauser scored 17 points to lead Chambersburg past Central Dauphin East.

Jonathan Motichka added 10 points and four assists for the Trojans (6-2) and Matt Bosenbark had eight points and seven rebounds.

FREDERICK, Md. - Kimber Passarelli scored 29 points, Caitlyn Trout had 13 points and Ali Matthews added 12 to lead Frederick Home School over Frederick Christian Academy.

Taylor Cohagon scored 37 points and Amanda Johnson had 15 for Frederick Christian Academy.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Emily McCoy had 17 points, 14 rebounds and five steals and Heather Shaw had 10 points, six rebounds and four steals to lead Berkeley Springs over Keyser.

Southern Fulton 39, Chestnut Ridge 24

FISHERTOWN, Pa. - Sam Cain had 22 points and five blocked shots as Southern Fulton used an 18-3 fourth-quarter run to defeat Chestnut Ridge in Sideling Hill League action.

Candace Bard had eight rebounds and Brandy Swope had three blocks for the Indians (5-1, 3-1).

Broadfording 45, Clear Spring 38

Tina Conner scored 20 points and Becca Conner added 15 for Broadfording as the Lions beat Clear Spring.

Cindel Young had 11 rebounds while Kim Rose added 10 for Broadfording (5-6).

Maggie Wolford scored nine points to lead the Blazers (0-3).

Walkersville 67, South Hagerstown 26

WALKERSVILLE, Md. - April Sparkman led Walkersville with 25 points and four assists as the Lions outscored South Hagerstown 41-8 in the second half in a win over the Rebels.

Colbi Harrison had 17 points, eight assists and eight steals while Tori Hessler, Samantha Shanuel and Jennifer Maggi each added eight rebounds for Walkersville (3-1).

Jamie Fowler scored nine points for the Rebels (0-5).

TJ 75, North 42

Nia Josiah had 22 points while Kim Wilson added 11 for Thomas Johnson as the Patriots (4-1) defeated North Hagerstown.

Cara Thompson scored 12 points while Chelsea Clark added 11 for the Hubs (2-3).

MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Chelsey DeShong had 14 points and five rebounds to lead McConnellsburg past Cumberland Valley Christian School.

Tara Ritchey scored 10 points for the Spartans (3-5) while Tami Ulsh pulled down 10 rebounds.

Winters Mill 64, Catoctin 54

WESTMINSTER, Md. - Emily Balogh and Ashley Metal each had 13 points for Catoctin in the Cougars' loss to Winters Mill (5-0).

Sara Wastler added 12 points for the Cougars (3-2) and Kate Robinson had nine points and eight rebounds.

Gettysburg 64, Waynesboro 13

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Jess Miller had seven points and 10 rebounds for Waynesboro in its loss to Gettysburg (4-2).
