A man is wanted in Washington County in connection with the kidnapping and carjacking of a Williamsport woman early Friday, the Washington County Sheriff's Department said.

Deputies said the victim was kidnapped while in her vehicle at the intersection of South Conococheague and Church streets at about 1 a.m. The woman was blindfolded and taken to an unknown location, possibly in West Virginia or Virginia, and held against her will on Friday and Saturday, according to deputies.

The victim told police that the man did not show any weapon and did not assault her, deputies said.

Deputies said the woman was brought back to Maryland on Saturday night in a white Dodge and was left along Interstate 81 near exit 6A.

Deputies described the man wanted in the incident as white, about 40 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with shoulder-length, dirty blond hair. He was wearing a blue jean jacket, blue jeans, white sneakers and blue gloves, according to deputies.
