Holiday fun

Sniders Elevator hosts a Christmas Extravaganza with sleigh rides, book signing by local authors and activities for families. Today, 8 a.m. to noon, Sniders Elevator, 4551 Lemar Road, Lemasters, Pa. Free, sleigh rides cost $5. Call 717-328-2107.

Party with Santa

Lunch with Santa

Open house

The Clear Spring District Historical Association will hold its annual Christmas open house. The house will be decorated in the fashion of the 1830s, when the house was built. Festival of Lights

Today's Festival of Lights at Rest Haven Cemetery includes a performance by the Appalachian Wind Quintet at 3 p.m. in the cemetery's funeral home chapel, and luminarias lighted as bagpiper Rich Conrad plays and walks through the cemetery at 4 p.m. Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Festival of Lights

'Joy to the World'

The Maryland Symphony Orchestra's Holiday Pops concert features the MSO and Springfield Middle School chorus performing holiday favorites. Today, 7 p.m.; Sunday, 3 p.m. The Maryland Theatre, 21 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown. Tickets cost $17 for adults and $10 for children ages 12 and younger. Tickets are available at the MSO office, 13 S. Christmas musical

The traditional Hispanic-American Christmas procession Las Posadas will follow the journey of Joseph and Mary as they seek shelter, going through neighborhoods until reaching Trinity United Methodist Church in Martinsburg, W.Va. A fiesta follows. Sunday, 3 to 5:30 p.m. The procession begins at Martin Luther King Park. Parking is available at Trinity United Methodist Church, 220 W.
