The Ridenours

Mr. and Mrs. Don Ridenour of Maugansville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, Oct. 30, 2004, at the Maugansville Fire Company. The event was hosted by the Ridenours' two sons and their spouses - Frank and Nancy Ridenour, and Phil and Jeannie Ridenour - and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. About 100 friends and family attended the celebration.

The Ridenours were married on Oct. 15, 1954, at the Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Glen Zug officiating.

Mrs. Ridenour is the former Joyce E. Brewer, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Brewer. She was employed in the office at Maryland Ribbon Company, Maugansville Elevator and Hi-Way Furniture. She is a homemaker and baby-sits her great-grandchildren.

Mr. Ridenour is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ridenour. When Mr. Ridenour got married, he worked as a painter. He also worked at Statton Furniture, Coca-Cola and Hi-Way Furniture, and now is employed at Brewer's Saab in Maugansville.


The Willetts

Rodgers and Donna Willett of Williamsport celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004. A surprise party at Rocco's Italian Restaurant was hosted by Timothy and Desiree Willett, Vicky Shekels and Andy Robinson and Eric and Lori Willett. Approximately 25 family members and friends attended the party.

The Willetts were married Sept. 11, 1954, by the Rev. Kenneth Hulit at First Evangelical United Brethren Church in Canton, Ohio.

Mrs. Willett is the former Donna Jean Gilbert, daughter of the late Millard and Nellie Gilbert. She is a homemaker.

Mr. Willett is the son of the late Harry and Freda Willett. He served in the U.S. Air Force 8th Bomber Wing Sac. He retired from Variform Corporation.

They have seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
