A Martinsburg, W.Va., woman was sentenced Monday in connection with a purse snatching in the Centre at Hagerstown's parking lot in January 2001, according to Washington County Circuit Court records.
Sharon Jeanette Hearn, 24, of 516 E. Moler Ave., No. 10, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, with all but three years and four months suspended, court records state.
Hearn pleaded guilty to robbery on Monday, court records state.
Hearn's sister, Sheila Marie Rickard, 30, of Millville, W.Va., was sentenced last year in the case, court records state.
Rickard was sentenced to 10 years with all but 61/2 years suspended for robbery, court records state.
In both Hearn's and Rickard's cases, charges of conspiracy to commit robbery, theft of more than $500 value, conspiracy to commit theft of more than $500 value, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment were dismissed, court records state.
Hearn also must pay $1,245 in restitution to the woman whose purse she and Rickard stole on Jan. 30, 2001, court records state.
