Four hurt in Pa. crash

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Four people were injured Sunday morning when a pickup truck crashed on Sollenberger Road, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The driver of the truck, Michael Hoffeditz, 20, address unavailable, of Chambersburg, had serious injuries, according to police. Hoffeditz was in fair condition Sunday night at Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Police said Hoffeditz was driving a rented 2004 Dodge pickup east at 3:40 a.m. when it went off the road and struck a tree. The occupants were able to get out of the truck, which then caught fire, police said.

Passenger Eric Gervasio, 19, of Chambersburg, was in fair condition Sunday night at Chambersburg Hospital, according to a hospital spokeswoman. Passengers Christopher Wells, 20, and Tara Carpenter, 18, both of Chambersburg, were treated and released, the spokeswoman said.
