CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - The Jefferson High School Choir announced at a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Charles Town that it will hold a fund-raiser.
The choir will hold a drawing for a 1997 Buick Century from Guy's Buick in Ranson, W.Va. The drawing will be held just before the school's Christmas break. For a $20 donation to the choir, you may submit your name for the drawing.
The money raised will help students with costs associated with representing West Virginia at the 60th anniversary of Pearl Harbor. According to choir director Roberta Ranelli, the trip will cost about $75,000.
It is Ranelli's hope that donations will help defer the cost for students to a more affordable fee of about $600 per person.
