Hancock Lions Club annual Christmas dinner planned

HANCOCK - The Hancock Lions Club is hosting its annual Christmas dinner at the American Legion on East Main Street on Saturday, Dec. 18, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The meal is open to anyone, according to Fran Shives, longtime Lions member. Deliveries may be arranged for the immediate area by calling either Larry Gerber at 301-678-6555 or Hancock Town Hall at 301-678-5622.

"We expect to serve between 600 and 700 people," Shives said. The club members raise money to buy the food for the dinner which is prepared by the Hancock Lions and Lionesses. Brownie and Girl Scout troop members do the serving. There will be entertainment.
