The Washington County Planning Commission voted unanimously Monday to approve the preliminary plat/site plan for another phase of the Rosewood development, being built off Robinwood Drive.

Phase II-B of Rosewood Village, being built off the northwest side of Robinwood Drive by developer Manny Shaool, is slated to include 173 housing units on just less than 19 acres of land, according to planning documents.

Washington County Commissioner and Planning Commission member Jim Kercheval said this portion of the development will also include three commercial buildings - a full-service bank and convenience store, a retail office building and a retail service shop.

The Rosewood Development is being built in three main phases, planning commissioners said. The overall development includes plans to build more than 100 additional town houses and a 22,712-square-foot medical and dental office building.
