Due to a source's error, the obituary for Dorothy Louise Turner of 13905 Weaver Ave., Maugansville, who died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, included an incorrect spelling for the name of a daughter. She is survived by daughter Karen Gogan of Hagerstown.

Todd M. Rzomp, 28

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Todd M. Rzomp, 28, of 1 Cedar Lane, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004.

Born Feb. 2, 1976, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of Thomas M. and Carol Ann Harmon Rzomp of Mercersburg.

He was a 1995 graduate of James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg.

Since 1995, he had been employed as a machinist with Castle Machine Co. in Williamson, Pa.

He was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church of St. Thomas, Pa.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Chad E. Rzomp of Mercersburg; maternal grandmother, Patricia A. Harmon of St. Thomas; paternal grandfather, Casimir L. Rzomp Sr. of Quincy, Pa.; one nephew; aunts; uncles; and cousins.


Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home in Mercersburg. The Rev. Ernest E. Pletcher will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.

Viewing will be Monday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Donald D. Deaver, 87

DEC. 18, 1916-DEC. 1, 2004

Donald Delmar Deaver, 87, of Beverly Healthcare Nursing Home, formerly of Oak Ridge Apartments, both in Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Dec. 18, 1916, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Harry C. and Olive C. Stoneberger Deaver.

His wife, Miriam Deaver, died Oct. 13, 1992.

He worked most of his life with the railroad, last employed by the Chessie System, now CSX Transportation.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He is survived by one son, William C. Deaver of Titusville, Fla.; one sister, June M. Benchoff of Hagerstown; five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one nephew.

There will be no service. Burial will be in Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, Md.

Memorial contributions may be made to Washington County Humane Society.

Charles W. Beckwith, 53

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Charles Wayne "Chuck" Beckwith, 53, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at his home.

Born Jan. 13, 1951, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Merle L. and Lois Lorraine Miller Beckwith.

He was employed with AT&T.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Air National Guard.

He was a member of First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Louise Flynn Beckwith; one daughter, Erin Beckwith, at home; one son, Brian Beckwith of Fairmont, W.Va.; one brother, Todd M. Beckwith of Martinsburg; three nieces; and two nephews.

Services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Pastor Ed Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 315 W. King St., Martinsburg, WV 25401.

Laura B. Lynch, 66

APRIL 21, 1938-DEC. 1, 2004

Laura Belle Lynch, 66, of 10116 Sharpsburg Pike, Hagerstown, formerly of Artizan Street, Williamsport, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at Homewood Retirement Center in Williamsport.

Born April 21, 1938, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Robert Harold and Odessa Florence Smith Orr.

Her husband, Henry Silas Lynch, died in 1996.

She was a homemaker.

She was of the Protestant faith.

She is survived by one daughter, Laura A. Lynch of Hagerstown; three sons, Henry C. Lynch and Dennis E. Lynch, both of Hagerstown, and Michael L. Lynch of Jamestown, Tenn.; three sisters, Geneva F. Mills, Norma L. Rhinaman and Gloria J. Kitchen, all of Martinsburg, W.Va.; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Lillian P. Barrett; and three brothers, James H. Orr, Robert C. Orr and Bruce M. Orr.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home in Williamsport. Pastor Reginald Rice will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open after 9 a.m. for the convenience of family and friends.

Beulah O. Abrell, 86

JULY 25, 1918-DEC. 1, 2004

GERRARDSTOWN, W.Va. - Beulah Ora Offenbacker Abrell, 86, of Gerrardstown, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at her home.

Born July 25, 1918, in Rockingham County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Dora Grim Offenbacker.

Her husband of 55 years, Harry Guinn Abrell, died in March 1994.

She had been a seasonal employee with C.H. Musselman Co.

She was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Gerrardstown.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna K. Sullivan of Blackshear, Ga.; two sons, Harry D. Abrell of Dumfries, Va., and Larry G. Abrell of Clear Brook, Va.; three sisters; two brothers; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
