Hunting rifle, cash reported stolen


HALFWAY - An unloaded hunting rifle and cash were reported stolen from two vehicles in the 10700 block of Timothy Drive near Halfway at 6:53 p.m. Wednesday, Detective Chris Weaver with the Washington County Sheriff's Department said.

A wallet containing approximately $40 was stolen from a 1990 Ford Taurus and a Remington Model 700 rifle, 30-06, worth approximately $400, was stolen from a 1994 Toyota pickup, Weaver said.

Hagerstown police respond to calls


The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following calls:

· A domestic violence incident in the 600 block of Oak Hill Avenue in the North End was reported at 3:08 a.m. Thursday.

· A rear license plate with Maryland registration 21P273 was reported stolen at 12:53 p.m. Wednesday from the 400 block of Salem Avenue.

· An IBM laptop computer was reported stolen from the 100 block of Doub Way at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday.

· A tire was reported cut on a vehicle in the 900 block of Lanvale Street in the West End at 1:11 p.m. Wednesday.

· A wallet and cash were reported stolen from the 1700 block of Dual Highway at 4:13 p.m. Monday.

· Five tires and wheels worth $2,000 were reported stolen from the 1700 block of Edgewood Drive at 10:03 a.m. Wednesday.

· A joystick worth $119 was reported stolen from the 1700 block of Edgewood Hill Circle at 4:35 a.m. Wednesday.
