GREENCASTLE, PA. - One woman was killed and another injured in a Wednesday afternoon accident on U.S. 11 north of Frank Road in Antrim Township, Pa., according to Franklin County Coroner Jeffrey L. Conner.
Pennsylvania State Police were investigating the accident, which the Franklin County 911 Center said was called in at 3:22 p.m.
No information was available on where the injured person was taken for treatment.
At the scene, a white sport utility vehicle was off the west side of U.S. 11 (Molly Pitcher Highway) directly across from Strait Steel.
The vehicle was northbound when it apparently spun out of control on the wet road, crossed the southbound lane and struck a utility pole on the driver's side, according to Franklin County Deputy Coroner Kenneth L. Peiffer.
